Research Support for Mental Health Agencies and Services

At RE-SEARCH North East we understand the importance of carrying out research and evaluations to inform practice as well as supporting future funding applications to enhance services. Evaluating the provision of mental health and wellbeing services is crucial to ensure that care is effective, accessible, and responsive to the needs of individuals and communities they serve. It can involve the use of both quantitative and/or qualitative research methods as part of an evaluative process to determine the usefulness of a service. It can also help examine whether or not a service is running according to plan and aims to identify any unintended consequences, understanding how these may have occurred, helping to steer future provision.

Considering evaluating your own service?

At RE-SEARCH North East we can help guide you through the entire research process or stages as required, depending on your requirements. This could involve applying for funding, designing and writing a research proposal, support you in carrying out an in-house evaluation of your agency and the services you provide, advising on appropriate research methodologies and analysis techniques and dissemination of research findings.

Would you like and independent evaluation of your agency/services?

RE-SEARCH North East can also design and/or evaluate the services you provide as an independent entity. This ensures transparency, credibility, and scope for continuous improvement of your services. By seeking and engaging in external and impartial support you/your agency will benefit from objective analysis, specialist expertise, and a fresh perspective that strengthens the quality of your future work. This approach also builds trust with stakeholders and funders, providing robust evidence which informs service design. Additionally, it can help amplify the voices of the communities you support, increasing the likelihood of influencing wider policy and practice in the field of mental health and wellbeing.
